"You were my Perri Dox, a living paradox—both a stardust tornado that left a trail of sparkle wherever you went and the embodiment of a free spirit, full of light and laughter. You were a rare and even intimidating beauty, yet within that presence was a joyful, fun-loving soul who never took life too seriously. I often think back to the times we shared, full of wild adventures and laughter that seemed endless, and how you could always make even the simplest moments feel extraordinary.
For over a decade, I’ve kept your name saved as Perri Dox in my phone—an apt reminder of the complexity and depth you carried with you. The way you could be both a force of nature and a tender heart, so much more than anyone could possibly understand at first glance. You were a paradox, someone who defied all expectations, yet made sense in a way no one else could.

Even in your absence, I feel the imprint you’ve left on me and the world, one that no amount of time can erase.

I promise I will continue to fight for you, to advocate for the things that mattered to you, and to carry your spirit with me. Your light, your laughter, your essence will never fade. You will live on forever in me and everyone who had the honor of knowing you. Rest in peace, my beautiful, chaotic, sparkling paradox. I will carry you with me always.”

"Sweet Perri, you left this earthly realm, and forever took a piece of my heart with you. To know you was to be sparkled up by the glittery world you inhabited. It was always an honor to be in the presence of your shine.
Remember all of those Beach walks where we talked about our "one days" with bright eyes and open hearts?
One day I would open a yoga studio.
One day you would start Puka Perri.
And we did it.
And then we kept growing! And I opened more studios and you started the Monarch Collective and then we had husbands and we had sons and we had fully growing businesses and we celebrated and laughed that "one day" had become "everyday" and sometimes the beach-walked dream was simpler than the day to day lived in reality.
And I loved seeing you grow.

And I loved seeing you shine.

And I loved being in your life.

And I thought that we had more time.

There were so many things I still had to tell you."

“An incredible mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend. To know her was to feel welcomed, to feel loved, to feel accepted, warmed by her infinite glow.

It's hard to put into words how remarkable she was, and honestly I've been putting off this post for two weeks because the words weren't coming and these words still don't do her justice. Her entire being literally sparkled with light. Every conversation was underlined with stoke; she was the best of us.
I'm not a particularly spiritual person but I can't fathom her energy and spirit disappearing from this realm with her body. Every time I find a special shell or wear her beautiful pukas. Any time her infectious laugh reminisces in my ear or when our friends talk story about past adventures (chasing shots with Costco muffins on the beach at midnight). When I jump into the ocean or bring bubbles to the beach. I feel her all around.
I'm so sorry this world was too painful. I hope it's only love and light now. Here's to you Perri, we love you and miss you."

"My dear friend, who played by the sea, picked shells, and lived in a sarong. The ocean her muse, canvas, and art. I feel her presence in the sunlight dancing on the waves and in the quiet moments when the world feels still.

Perri made the world feel lighter, and her laughter and smile followed her wherever she went. Her true beauty was her soul-radiant and untamed. And her heart so pure.

You are missed more than words can ever express. But I find comfort in knowing that you have returned to the place you loved most. I'll visit the ocean often to hear your laughter carried in the breeze and to remember our adventures. You are now the waves-an endless beauty, and you will remain forever in my heart."
